Mary T. Franzini

Mary Theresa Franzini was a cherished soul, born on November 19, 1933, Queens, NY, and called home on February 19, 2025, from her cozy corner in Syosset, NY. Her 91 years on this earth were filled with laughter, love, and a commitment to her faith that touched everyone around her.

Mary's life was a testament to her deep-rooted Christian values, beautifully exemplified through her devoted service as a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Mercy in Hicksville and later as a parishioner at St. Edwards in Syosset. Her faith wasn't just a part of her life; it was the guiding light that made her the wonderfully selfless, kind-hearted person she was.

Mary's spirit was uncontainably exuberant, always ready with a smile and the sort of humor that brought warmth to any gathering. Her fondest memories were vacations to Olympic Dude Ranch, sun-soaked days in Acapulco, and vibrant nights in Vegas. Mary cherished these adventures alongside her loved ones, always finding joy in each moment shared.

She is now reunited in spirit with her parents, Natale and Theresa Franzini, and her siblings, Vincent, Renee, and Faye, all of whom she loved dearly. Her legacy of warmth and love lives on through her surviving siblings, Patricia and Theresa, countless nieces, nephews, and their own families, in addition to the many friends that were her family. All who held a special place in her heart.

A visitation will be held at Beney Funeral Home on Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Edwards Confessor Church on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 11 a.m. As we gather, let us remember her with smiles rather than tears; she would wish for the sun to dry the eyes of those who grieve. Her life, a testament to joy and faith, assures us that though she has Left us, her spirit is aloft, gleefully dancing on the wings of love and remembrance.
