

Alvin Ricks, of Phoenix, NY passed away on Saturday with his loving and supportive family by his side. Alvin was born in the Bronx and has lived in Phoenix for the last 20 years. Mr. Ricks was a retired Investigator for the NY State Troopers after 30 years of dedicated service. Predeceased by his son, Alvin I. Ricks in 2002.
Survivors: His wife of 27 years, Cheryl Ricks; daughter, Amber Ricks; parents, Isaiah and Mildred Ricks of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Cynthia Ricks of New York, NY and his twin sister, Alicia Singleton of Mt. Vernon; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lee and Jane Valentine; brother-in-law, Duane Valentine; sisters-in-law, Robin (John) Alford, Yolanda (Floyd) Johnson and Shanda (Daryl) Harris; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues and friends.
Funeral services Wednesday 10 a.m. at Farone & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park St.
