Christina Meskos

Christina Meskos 91, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Sunday morning surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Niki Florina Greece and immigrated to Syracuse with her family in 1966. She was a member of St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church. She was predeceased by her husband Christo; sons, Angelo and John; grandson, George and son-in-law Sam Liakos.

She is survived by her two daughters, Magdaline Liakos of Toronto, Canada and Vasiliki (Paul) Gatzoupoulos of Marcellus; daughters-in-law, Patricia Meskos of Camillus and Frieda Meskos, of Syracuse; sister-in-law, Paraskevie (Ilia) Fekos of Liverpool; also left to cherish her memory are ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Farone & Son Funeral Home, 1500 Park St. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:30 a.m. Farone & Son Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. in St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The Trisagion Prayer will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m.
