I'm very sorry to learn of the passing of Don.
I worked in the same facility as Don and it was a genuine pleasure to meet Don back in 1979.
I spent much time talking with Don and enjoyed every moment spent with him.
Don was a true personality, he had the gift of gab and knew how to entertain a group, his laugh and his cheery disposition just made your day.
One working day around lunch time, I looked over to the fence area that bordered our plant and there was a Lady standing out there calling out for Don, she was holding a bagged lunch and Don said, "That's my Wife" and he scooted out to that fence and Vicky handed Don his lunch that he had left behind at Home,everyone had a laugh over it, however, I knew that I had just witnessed a sweet moment in the life of a husband and wife.
I knew Don well back then and use to call and at times Vicky would answer and we would chat and the years passed and I did not any longer make those calls. I did not want to bother him any longer for Don had retired to a new life.
I never forgot Vicky or Don, I use to read the letters that Vicky wrote to the editor in the newspaper and I would smile and think of the two of them.
My condolences are heart felt and I pass them on to Vicky and all of that very lucky family to have had Don amongst them, he is and was a sweet guy and one that I have never forgotten and never will, my Prayers to all. Frederick A. Dolengo.

Dear Aunt Vicky, Donna, Stevie and Denise:

You know how much we all loved Uncle Don.  He was there for all the important family occasions and he always added a laugh and a chuckle.  He welcomed his nieces and nephews into his home like sons and daughters.  We will all miss him but somewhere up there he is enjoying some great TV!  Love and prayers, Carla, Charlie and Annie
