George S. Lemon, 62, of Syracuse, passed away Friday at home after a brief illness. A life resident of Syracuse, he attended Syracuse City Schools. He was a mechanic/carpenter.
He was predeceased by his mother, Millie Lemon and step-father, Badie McAster.
George is survived by his companion of 38 years, Therley Dewberry; daughters, Talisa, Tiffany and Adrienne; sons, George (Nene) Lemon, Douglas Lemon and Kevin Dewberry; sisters, Michelle (John) Rushing, Antoinette McAster (Raymond Jones), Sandra McAster and Rojeania (Reuben) Jones; brothers, Badie (Heather) McAster, Marcus McAster and Elliott McAster; 22 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours: Friday, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with funeral services to follow at noon at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
