

Grace M. Fiorito Scibilia, 99, formerly of Ross Park, Syracuse passed away peacefully Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. A Syracuse native, Grace lived at Park Rose Estates in Liverpool for the last year and enjoyed the friendships she made with the residents and staff; she loved them all. She was a waitress for many years at Edward’s Luncheonette and retired from Dey Brother’s where she worked in the Tea Room. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. Grace was a member of the Wagon Wheels Senior Center where she was a former Sprockette Dancer, and she also ballroom danced with the Golden Coaster’s. Throughout her life, she enjoyed needlepoint, knitting, and crocheting. She was a member of the Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter’s Senior Club and the Frank DeFrancisco Senior Community Center. Grace was an avid card player, and most recently enjoyed playing “dominoes”.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Scibilia in 1983 and her brothers, Joseph, Michael, and Anthony Fiorito. Surviving are her daughters, Gloria (Carmen) Laporta of Saratoga Springs, NY, Shirley (John) Bialobreski of Liverpool, NY, and Linda (Mark) Scibilia-Carver of Trumansburg, NY; sister, Lena Ianuzzi of Sherrill, NY; grandchildren, Lorrie (Jeff) Hanington, David (Tina) Laporta, Mary Grace Bialobreski, Susan (Jeff) Malatesta, John Bialobreski, Jr., Christopher Carver, and Daniel Scibilia-Carver; seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday 10:30 a.m. at Farone & Son Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park St.
