Janice Thompson

Janice Thompson, 57, of Syracuse, passed away Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. A life resident of Syracuse she retired from WSTM where she worked for over 25 years. She was the Union Steward for NABET-CWA Local 211.

She is predeceased by her mother, Martha Thompson in 1996. Janice is survived by her daughter, Yvonne T.S. McGriff; son, Vernon M.J. McGriff; companion, Jack P. Stokes; grandchildren, Justin, Jasaan, Jasmin, D’Andrea, Dante, Tiara, Kristopher and Malia; father, Edd L. Thompson, Sr.; brothers, James E. Thompson and Edd L. Thompson, Jr. (Lisa Burke-Thompson) and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 1 P.M. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held prior to the service, Friday, 11 a.m. to 1 P.M. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
