
Josephine “Jo” Rita Baldino, of Syracuse passed away peacefully at her home. Jo is predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Anthony “Tony” Michael Baldino, a WWII Veteran who cherished her. She worked for many years at EW Edwards and retired from R.E. Dietz. She enjoyed traveling, reading, baking, shopping and especially spending time with her family. Jo taught many lessons about love and life. She showed tenderness and tough love and the importance of humor. For these reasons we will love and remember her always. Her life was so incredible because she encountered many important life experiences throughout her childhood, marriage and lifetime. She will continue to be an inspiration to us. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Genoveffa (Jennie) Pinto, and her sisters, Sandi Perkosky, Rosalie Piunno, Antoinette Pinto and Theresa McDonald.
Jo is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Patrick Redmond of Syracuse, son and daughter-in-law, Kathy and Anthony Baldino, Jr., of Syracuse. She will also be remembered with much love by her grandchildren, Stephen (Amy) Redmond of Charlotte, NC, Amie (Scott) Ellis of Lexington, KY, Sarah (Ryder) Mathias of Charlotte, NC, Chet (Laura) Ripka of Fayetteville, GA and Ashley (Ryan) Hagan of Smyrna, GA; and five great-grandchildren, Madison, Caitlinn, Austin, Rowan and Miller. They were the light of her life. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Carraro of Binghamton, NY, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 11:15 a.m. at PIRRO & SONS Funeral Home and 12 p.m. in Holy Family Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. An hour of visitation will be held prior to the funeral services from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park St. Contributions may be made to Susan G.
