Mary Gunn

Mary Gunn 61, of Syracuse, NY passed away at her home Tuesday December 14, 2010 surrounded by her loving and supportive family. Born in Auburn, AL she moved to Syracuse at an early age where she graduated from Syracuse City Schools. Mary life was built on serving others. She was nurturing Personal Care Provider for the elderly. Mary was a solid dependable woman who put her family first. Mary was known for her cooking as her home served as the foundation and connecting point for her family and extended family during holidays etc. Mary loved to shop, travel, fish and hunt with her husband and children.

Mary leaves behind Alphonzie Gunn who she shared her life with for over 45 years. She leaves behind two children Darrell and Timothy Gunn and her grandson Jayden who was her pride and joy. She also was the parental guardian to her nieces Monica, Linette, Beth, Mandy and nephew Shawn. She also leaves behind her father Jessie Taylor aka (Highway), sister Emma Jean Cleare, brothers Jessie Taylor Jr., Jerry Taylor and several other cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends..

Calling Hours will be held from 10a.m. to Noon on Tue. 12/21 with a funeral service to follow at Bethany Baptist Church 149 Beatie St. Syracuse, NY 13224. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery.
