

of Eastwood, passed away Monday at his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Syracuse, he was a life resident. In 2008, Rocky retired from Time Warner after 27 years of service. Prior to Time Warner, he held the positions of Service Manager at Toyota and Majestic Motors in North Syracuse, and he was also Service Manager at Bob Kilburn Rambler. He also enjoyed many people as a Press Box Usher at the Carrier Dome for 20 years. A veteran of the United States Army, he served his country during the Korean War European Theater Military Police. He loved his camp in the Adirondacks, Inlet, NY and enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, boating and being Mr. Fix-it. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Susan Garofalo and his brother Joseph Garofalo.
Rocky is survived by his wife of 55 ½ years, Amelia “Millie” Garofalo; two children, Maria Anne Garofalo of Syracuse and Rocky E. (Cindy) Garofalo, Jr. of Syracuse; four grandchildren, Alyssa, Rocky, Brianna, and Mackenzie; brother, Robert Garofalo of North Syracuse; sisters, Kathy Neitzke of Virginia, Connie (Jack) Nichols of Florida, and Karen (Joe) Sgroi of Camillus; ; in-laws, Marianne Garofalo of Liverpool, Rose Marie Secreti of Syracuse, and Olga (Nicholas) Mulpagano of Syracuse as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday 9:45 a.m. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 10:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment to follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street.
