Aurelio Hernandez

Aurelio Hernandez, age 51, went to be with our Lord on September 15, 2013 with his beloved family by his side. Aurelio was born on March 17, 1962 to Natividad F. and Rufina Hernandez in Taft, Texas. He was a carpenter most of his life. A devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He loved children just as our Lord did for he felt they were the most precious of all. He could make a bad situation into a good thing and he never minced words. He told it as it was, the truth. Aurelio will be dearly missed by all who loved him. He loved watching western movies and NFL football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. He is preceded death by his parents.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Margie Hernandez; his children, Jessica (Anthony) Johnson, Amanda (Gui) Chanthalack, Natividad Andrew (Victoria) Hernandez; 4 granddaughters, 3 grandsons;

Brothers and Sisters, Mary Lou Hernandez (Attorney at Law), Joe Hernandez, Jesse (Norma) Hernandez, Juanita (George) Saldivar, Esmeralda (Curtis) Delias, Gilbert (Alicia) Hernandez, Terri (Frank) Tijerina, and Pat (Saul) Lopez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 17, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to be held at 6:00 p.m. and a Rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m. that evening at Colonial Funeral Home in Taft, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday September 18, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gregory, Texas located at 101 Church Street. Interment will be private.
