Jack Albert Robertson, age 74, went to be with God in his heavenly home on Saturday morning, April 9, 2011, after a long illness. He was born in Barnard, South Dakota, and moved to Salina, Kansas, in 1951. He worked as a sheet metal worker from 1954 to1995. Jack loved to go bird hunting with his favorite bird dog, King Spike. After moving to South Texas, Jack spent his free time in the yard planting roses and a garden. When he retired, Jack and his wife, Betty, moved to Taft where he enjoyed the rest of his life spending time with her. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Jack was preceded in death by his father and mother, William and Christina Taylor; his twin sister, Jean Ann Green; brother, Wesley Taylor Robertson; his sister and brother-in-law, Lucille Marie and Don Boileau; and sister-in-law, Janice Deyoung.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Betty Lou Robertson; his children, Johnny Phillip Robertson and Christine Ella (Doug) Hospodar; three grandchildren: Dylan Taylor Robertson, Jacob Wayne Hospodar and Chelsea Louise Thomas; two great-granddaughters, Raelynn Faith Thomas and Bentley Dee Thomas; sister-in-law, Karen Robertson; brothers-in-law, Jack Lee Boileau and Carl Deyoung; numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. May God bless him and wrap him in his Angel’s wings.
