

Refugia Lozano Hernandez passed away on January 1, 2011. She was 83 years of age. Refugia was born on September 12, 1927, to Carlos and Luz Lozano in Taft, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Hernandez worked as a nurses aid at the local nursing home. She was a longtime member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. She recently attended the Church of God-South Texas.
Refugia was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty years, Raymundo T. “Blue” Hernandez; one sister, Eva Lopez; brothers: Rodulfo Lozano, Leopoldo Lozano, Daniel Lozano, Sr. and Lazaro Lozano.
She is survived by one son, Raymond (Tina) Hernandez of Taft; two daughters, Lucy (Gilbert) Rodriguez of Taft and Terri (Roel) Salinas of Gregory-Portland, Texas; one brother, Reynaldo (Sally) Lozano of Orange, California; eight grandchildren: Gina, Ginise, Gemeris, Gevonne, Gilbert, Ginger, Christopher and Matthew and sixteen great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 3, 2011, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with an eulogy service at 7:30 PM at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Taft Memorial Park. Condolences may be offered at colonialfuneralhometaft.com
