

HULBERT, OK- Funeral services for Reverend Albert Robbins will be held on Friday, April 1st, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Reed- Culver Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ellis Foster and Reverend Dale Wilson officiating. Wake services will be conducted Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Reed- Culver Chapel with Reverend Don Ade officiating. Burial will take place at Swimmer Cemetery.
Reverend Albert Robbins was born on February 7th, 1935 in Wagoner. OK the son of Eli and Ola (Beaver) Robbins. He attended school at Wyandotte and high school at Chilocco. After school, he served in the United States Armed Forces. He married the love of his life, Louise Bird on December 23, 1972 at Swimmer Baptist Church. This marriage was blessed with thirty eight years and one adored daughter, Lisa. Albert earned his living as an independent truck driver. He was a gifted diesel mechanic and had what it takes to keep the big rigs running smooth. He enjoyed an occasional day of fishing and spending a little time outdoors with his family and friends. Albert had a wonderful sense of humor and could make anyone smile. Forty years of Albert’s life has been spent in service of God and his message of love. A Southern Baptist by faith, he has preached the Gospel at Long Prairie, Little Kansas, Standing Rock, Oak Grove, Snake Creek, Ballou , Piney Baptist, Johnson Pritchett Baptist Church, and as the Associate Pastor of Cedar Tree Baptist. He devoted his time and talents to these churches with his wife, Louise, by his side. He made time to read his Bible daily in devotion to the Lord he served. The Lord called His faithful servant home on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in Tahlequah with his family at his side. He was seventy-six years old. People of all ages sought advice from Albert for many of life’s situations. He will greatly missed by his family and friends for his smile and all the love he gave.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Jess, George, and Charles Robbins and one sister, Lillian Parker.
He is survived by his loving wife, Louise, of the home in Hulbert, OK. He has one daughter, Lisa Alexander, of Catoosa, OK, and two sisters, Lucille Britt of Wagoner, OK and Nancy Warren of Garland, TX as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
