Alexander James Smith was born December 22nd, 1990 in Norfolk, Virginia. He left this world July 20th, 2018. Alex was known to his friends and many who loved him as “Gypsy”. He was an artist, a son, a brother, and an exceptional father. He loved being with friends, exploring in nature, learning new languages, and hiking on Sparrow Hawk Mountain. Alex had an incredible green thumb and an extensive knowledge of plants and animals.
He will be missed by his beautiful son Sol William Sûma; his parents Kimberly Shuma, David Stickels, and Clifford Smith; his siblings Eden Murray and husband Samuel, Maxwell Smith and girlfriend Callie Tackett, Jakob Smith, and Jaxon Stickels; nieces Isla and Mila Murray; as well as many friends, extended relatives, and pets.
