Bernice spent years working as a dispatcher in the trucking industry and later dedicated her time to being a housewife. She kept the household organized and running, and that was its own full-time job.
Bernice spent her free time doing things she enjoyed trips to the casino, visiting with family, and spending time with her grandkids.
Bernice is survived by her husband, Larry Gleitz; son, Larry Barbaree Jr.; daughters, Channing Summers and Peggy Barbaree; and her sisters Lisa Smith, Rita Howard, and Charlene Cornsilk, and a host of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her children Melonie Burnett, Candy Barbaree, and Brian Tankersley, as well as her sisters Janie Cornsilk and Teresa Young,
Bernice lived life simply and close to the people she cared about. Her days were shaped by home, family, and familiar routine. She will be remembered with love by the people who shared life with her.
