Corky enjoyed people, traveling, and reading. One of her preferred kind of books was murder mysteries. She was known to be very sweet and friendly lady, but she would most definitely let you know when you made her angry. Corky loved to play computer games, coloring, and going to the casino to meet up with friends and play. She enjoyed making her famous spaghetti, chicken wings, and pies. Corky loved her stepchildren and grandchildren very much so.
She is preceded in death by her parents James Hohl and Mary Agnes Thompson, her sister, husband Monroe Irwin, former husband Eugene "Greek" Kaplanis Sr., stepson Ronald Kaplanis Sr., and grandson Eugene Forrest Kaplanis III.
Corky leaves to cherish her sweet memory to three stepdaughters Michele Mayhew and Denise Kaplanis of Cookson, OK and Linda Wright of Kansas City, KS; two stepsons Eugene (Diana) Kaplanis Sr. of Gallatin, TN and Kirk Kaplanis of Kansas City, KS; eleven grandchildren Terrence (Kelly) Kaplanis, Jason (Lonetta) Redman Sr., John Redman, Kenneth (Brandy) Mayhew, Eric Wright, Brandy (Michael) Doyal, Teddy Kaplanis, Alex (Christine) Kaplanis, Anthony (Nicole) Kaplanis, Char Morgan (Justin) Kaplanis, and Makayla Kaplanis; eighteen great grandchildren Jason (Sonya) Jr., Blake, Jordan (Leigha), Austin, Andrew (Shyan), Joshua (Kaylee), Brandon (DaLainie), Justin, Austin, Zakori, Zaiden, Kyla, Kaden, Kenna, Nicholas, Piper, Levi, Anabelle, and Rosalind; nine great-great grandchildren and friends.
Our family would like to thank each and every one of you who have called to check in on us or even came by. We truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts and love you all.
