Dan Junior Hayes

Tahlequah, OK_ Funeral services for Dan Junior Hayes will be held on Wednesday, May 11th, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah with Rev. Bobby Botts officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 10th, 2011 from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Interment will take place at Lost City Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.

Pallbearers for Dan include Bobby Young, Rick Maxville, Ricky Maxville, Frank Hayes, Chris Fowler, and Tony Warford. Honorary pallbearers include Larry Warren, and Bob Ragsdale.

Dan Hayes was born on August 14, 1938 in Hulbert, Oklahoma the son of Turn Hayes and Jennie (Keener) Hayes. One of Dan’s passions in life was his horses. He loved raising and racing horses and spent many hours caring for them. Dan also enjoyed listening to gospel music. Dan passed away at his home in Catoosa, OK on Saturday May 7, 2011 with his family by his side.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Cletha Hayes, a brother Roy Lee Hayes, two sisters, Louella Kuehne, and Marie Hayes,

Dan is survived by his wife Eva, of the home. He also leaves one son Tony Hayes and his wife Sandra of Hulbert, OK, a brother, Lou Hayes, of Hulbert, OK., four sisters, Sue Switzer and husband Keith of Tahlequah, OK., Debbie Jackson and husband Jeff of Wagoner, OK., Vi Spencer of Hulbert, OK., and Mary Pilcher and husband Keith of Hulbert, OK., one grandson, six granddaughters, four great grandsons, and 3 great granddaughters, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones. Visitation for Dan will be Tuesday May 10, 2011 from 8 A.M until 8 P.M. at the Reed-Culver Funeral Home. The Hayes family will receive visitors 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Tuesday evening.
