Dollie was a woman of many talents. She was born with a green thumb, and every flower and vegetable she planted flourished. Then she took her produce and lovingly canned it for her family. Her jelly was excellent. She was gifted with a needle and could sew about anything from clothing to arts and crafts of various variety. She was a photographer, and could make the lens capture images that intrigued the eye. She loved people. She was quick with a smile, made you feel at ease anytime she spoke and went out of her way to help the stranger, of whom she knew few. A Christian by faith, Dollie was a member of the Keys Church of God. She was known as the “Queen of Peanut Brittle” sales for the church and always said she was doing this service for God. She loved helping the church. She wanted to help others any way she could. She adored her family and loved any amount of time she had with them, sharing a meal, a laugh, or a cup of coffee. Her grandchildren were her delight. She enjoyed any activity they participated in and was their number one fan. The Lord called Dollie home from her labors on September 10th, 2012 in Tahlequah with her loving family by her side. She was 85 years old.
