Freddie Joe Leep was born on December 17th, 1931 in Cookson, OK, the son of Jerry Marlow and Annie (Fritts) Leep. He attended grade school in Cookson and graduated from Bagley High School in Tahlequah. Freddie served in the US Army as a lineman on the construction battalion, spending time in Korea and Japan. After his honorable discharge, Freddie returned home, he met and married his sweetheart, Vada Pryor on August 15th, 1955. This union would last 61 years and bless them with two sons and two daughters. He worked his whole life as a cement finisher until his health finally forced him to slow down and retire. Besides being gifted in construction, Freddie was a jack of all trades, doing wood working and raising his baby animals. He loved to hunt and fish, traveling yearly to the home of his niece, Clara Dean, to do a little hunting and fishing at her residence. Even after the hunt, he would cook breakfast for his brothers at Southside Baptist Church, making the best deer gravy you ever ate! It was an anticipated treat for everyone. Freddie loved his family dearly and was so very proud of all of his grandchildren. He loved to spend time with his family and keep up with their latest activities. A Baptist by faith, Freddie was a member of Southside Baptist Church, serving his church family in any way possible. The Lord called this good and faithful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend home from his labors on Monday, September 5th, 2016 in Tahlequah, OK. Freddie was 84 years old.
