
Harmon Eugene Nottingham, of Coweta, Oklahoma, was born Saturday February 15, 1930 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to C. B. “Bill” and Hazel Irene Nodine Nottingham and died Sunday February 28, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years and 13 days.
He grew up in Tahlequah and had lived in Coweta since 1975. He married Elsie Paulene Smith on August 16, 1948 in Wichita, Kansas. He was a painter in the construction business, enjoyed horses, piddling in the barn, woodworking, especially with old barn wood, making furniture. He was a huge OU fan and watching the grandchildren playing sports. He grew flower and vegetable gardens, and he liked his tomatoes!! He listed to music and read when he could. He always had to take care of his sweet tooth!
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jerry Lee Nottingham in 1985; brother, J. B. Nottingham. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Paulene of Coweta; son, Allen Nottingham of Tulsa; daughters, Diane Renee Swift and her husband Doug of Bixby, Gail Ann Allen of Broken Arrow; brothers, Gerald Nottingham of Tahlequah, Joe Nottingham of Catoosa; sister, Anna Lee of Locust Grove; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
