Ian McTier Halsey was born on April 5th, 1994 in Fayetteville, AR, the son of Ronnie Walter and Mashel Rae (Crawford) Halsey. He was raised along with his two sisters, Amy and Ashley. Ian grew up in Kansas, OK and graduated from Kansas High School in 2012.While Ian was in school, he had a love for music and played the drums in the band. After graduation, he started school at Northeastern State University with plans to go into gunsmithing. He loved to spend time off-roading in his Geo Tracker, playing video games online with his kids and his two best friends. You always found him with his canine companion Remi, a gentle giant of a German Shepherd, who loved Ian. Ian met Mikayla in Middle School, they continued to be best friends and from then on, their love was endless. They did everything together, including raising their three children, Jaydn, Oliver, and Milly, all of the home. They were the world to Ian, and every waking moment was spent teaching the kids how to cook, fish, shoot guns and everything else in between. He was their guide through everything in life. A Christian by faith, Ian attended the Fellowship Church of Rogers, AR for “Celebration Recovery”, with lots of friends and fellowship. Ian was a people person, and he wanted to see you smile. He was everyone’s friend and would help anyone in need, no questions asked. For all the hopes and dreams Ian wanted in life, his life came to a close on March 25th, 2024 in the arms of his beloved Mikayla. He was 29 years old and will be missed beyond measure.
Ian is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Jo Authurs, his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Viola (Polska) Halsey, and his maternal aunt, Shelly Crawford.
Ian is lovingly remembered by his wife, Mikayla and their three children, Jaydn, Oliver and Milly all of the home. He leaves his beloved sisters, Amy Owens and husband Johnny and Ashley Halsey all of Centerton, AR. He also leaves his mother, Mashel Crawford of Jay, OK, his father Ronnie of Arizona, His maternal grandfather, Elvin Crawford and wife Betty of Gravette, AR. He also leaves his nieces and nephews that he loved spending time with and was a huge part of their lives. They include Austin Chandler. Leala Sharp, Ashanti Owens, Tyrik Graves, Jamarion Sanders, all of Centerton, AR, and Kynia Miller of Bella Vista, AR, as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
