James "Andy" Clay III

Funeral services for James Andrew “Andy” Clay III will be conducted on Wednesday, July 19th, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Brother Neil Dillard officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18th, 2017 beginning at noon until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. Internment will be held at Manus Cemetery near Briggs, OK. Pallbearers for Andy include David Wofford. Jackson Vann, Sam Vann, Butch Clay, Jimmy Davis, Eric Clay Thomas Davis, and Neal Dillard Jr.

James Andrew “Andy” Clay III was born on March 6th, 1971 in Tulsa, OK, the son of James Andrew and Julia (Green) Clay Jr. He grew up with three brothers and four sisters, attended school and graduated. He then set about building a family of his own, and married Tammy Gregoire. Together they raised five children, Justin, Chelsea, Brett, Gene, and Lisa. Andy worked in Fire Protection. Whenever he wasn’t working, he loved being out doors, either hunting, fishing, or catching a bargain at a garage sale. He was a good ole cowboy at heart, keeping company with his dog “Baby” and listening to good country music. When he relaxed at home, he loved to watch WWE Wrestling. There was always the perfect day of gathering with his family and to share a meal and spend the day chasing the grandkids around the yard. He adored his grandkids, Kylie, Maria, Estrellia, Marco, and Bryan Gregoire were the light of Grandad’s eye. He was always there when his family needed him, and he was the kind of friend you could always depend upon. For all the plans he had in his future, he passed from this life all too soon on July 10th, 2017 in Tahlequah, OK . He was 46 years old. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his his father and his sister, Tania Clay.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Tammy of the home. He leaves his children, Justin Clay of Broken Arrow, OK, Brett Gregoire and wife Amber of Tahlequah, Gene Gregoire and wife Hannah of Tahlequah, OK, Chelsea Clay of Tahlequah and Lisa Gregoire of Tahlequah. He also leaves his brothers and sisters, Jim Clay of Claremore, Timothy Clay and wife Vickie of Beggs, OK, Robert Clay of Welling, Pat Vann and husband Jack of Inola, Tonia Ward and husband Darren of Claremore, and Sonia Boswell and husband Rick of Briggs, OK.

He lives on in his grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
