Jason David Gourd

Jason David Gourd was born on Monday, February 18th, 1980 in Phoenix, AZ, the son of Ralph and Georgena (Jordan) Gourd. He grew up with three siblings, Stephen, Amanda, and Tom. He loved to be in the great outdoors. Some of his favorite outdoor activities include hunting, fishing, and riding horses. A Christian by faith, Jason was baptized by Brother Vol Woods of Welling Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Jason passed from this life on Wednesday, February 24th, 2021 in Hulbert, OK. Jason left behind many family and friends that will truly miss him. His children ask that everyone be kind to one another, and remember him for the man he wanted to be.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Georgena Gourd, grandparents Ralph Sr. and Pat Hall, Irene Jordon-Taber, Tandy R. Gourd and Emmalee Downing-Gourd, four uncles, Mike Gourd, Henry Gourd, Tandy Gourd Jr., and Johnny Gourd, aunt, Louise Gourd-Killion, great-aunt Annabelle, and aunt Nelda (Sam) Bird.

He is survived by his children Jason Lee and Katelynn Gourd of Tahlequah, OK, his father, Ralph Gourd, and step-mother Glenda of Moody, and three siblings, Stephen Leach and wife Cori, Amanda McElhaney, and Tom Bouler. He also leaves a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.

Funeral Services for Jason David Gourd will be held on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Brother Vol Woods and Brother Rick Hobbs officiating. He will be laid to rest at Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK. Pallbearers for Jason include Jason Lee Gourd, Stephen Leach, Devin Gordon, Rex Smith, Justin Smith, and Jeremy Ellis along with Rick White as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held Monday, March 1st, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 7:00PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.reedculver.com.
