Jim L. McIntosh

James Langley McIntosh, or Jim to his friends and family, was born on December 27, 1949 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Robert Kerr and Lucretia Ruth (Langley) McIntosh. He was raised in a home with two brothers, Robert and Charles. He grew up in the Tahlequah community and graduated from Tahlequah high School and then attended Northeastern State University. As a teenager, he made his spending money working for Safeway. This company would later change their affiliation to Homeland, and Jim worked for them until he retired in 2002. Whenever he wasn’t working, he loved to play a good round of golf. He was always tinkering around on his computer or working in the yard. He loved music and played the guitar really well. He was usually found around the yard in the company of his favorite canine companions, Pudge, Meggie and Doolittle. There was nothing more important to James than his family. He loved every moment spent with his children, grandkids and nephews and could not be prouder of their accomplishments. On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, Jim passed from this life at the age of 74 years old. This kind hearted man will be missed by the many that loved him.

He is preceded in death by parents, two brothers, Robert Kerr “Mac” McIntosh III and Charles Michael “Mike” McIntosh and one nephew, Mark McIntosh.

Those left to cherish his memory include his two sons, James M. McIntosh and wife Ashley of Tulsa, OK and Jeffery A. Davison and wife Lindy of Broken Arrow, OK and one daughter, Jennifer R. Enochs and husband Charles of Broken Arrow, OK. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren, Addison Schroeder, Austin Schroeder, Nolan Davison, Zoey McIntosh, Ryan McIntosh and Audrey McIntosh. He also leaves four nephews he thought the world of, Charlie McIntosh, Bob McIntosh, Nick McIntosh and Kerr McIntosh, as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.

Funeral Services for James Langley McIntosh will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Reverend David Wiens officiating.

Pallbearers for James include Charlie McIntosh, Bob McIntosh, Nick McIntosh, Kerr McIntosh and Austin Schroeder. Honorary pallbearers are Ryan McIntosh, Nolan Davison and Mark McIntosh.
