Keith Goodnight

Graveside services for Keith Goodnight will be held on Monday, January 25th, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Tahlequah City Cemetery with Pastor David Jones and Pastor Benny Stevenson officiating. Online condolences for his family may be left at www.reedculver.com.

Pallbearers for Keith include Kyle Goodnight, Ryan Goodnight, Brandon Adair, Cody Keys, Derek Gibson, and Billy Dwayne Gibson. Honorary pallbearers include Shelby Goodnight, Jarrod Goodnight, Jeffrey Goodnight, Billy Gibson, Eugene Adair and Billy Soban.

Keith Goodnight was born on January 22nd, 1961 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Dub and Eula Mae (Moore) Goodnight. He grew up in a loving home with his brother and sisters, Billy, Terrye, and Shelly. Keith attended Tahlequah schools, then he attained his LPN degree. For 25 years Keith demonstrated every trait that made him such a kind, compassionate and healing professional. He was the nurse that went the extra mile to see that his clients not only became stronger, but knew they had a friend in Keith. He had a wonderful smile, and the hands of a caring nurse, taking the additional effort to make all those around him well. Keith was blessed with five sons and one daughter. They were the world to Keith. He loved spending time with them, and often planned trips to the creek for a day of swimming and one of his famous outdoor grill parties. He was also an accomplished cook and made holiday dinners, and his famous fruit pizza’s to share with his family and friends. He was always ready to take on anyone in a game of horseshoes, and was able to take any plant and make it grow. He had a great sense of humor and always put a smile on the faces of the people around him. Even when he wasn’t feeling his best, he never let his clients and friends go without one of his jokes. He was special like that. Keith had four grandchildren that were so very special to him. He loved to watch them play and spent as much time as possible in their company. Keith passed form this life on January 22nd, 2016 in Tahlequah, OK, on his birthday, with his loving family by his side. Keith was 55 years old. He will be greatly missed by all those near and dear to him.

Keith is preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil Goodnight, Emma Hamby-Goodnight, Dave Moore, and Ruby Copeland-Moore.

Those left to cherish Keith’s memory include his loving children, Kyle Goodnight of Tahlequah, Ryan Goodnight and wife Melissa of Tahlequah, Shelby Goodnight of Wagoner, Jerrod Goodnight of Wagoner, Jeffrey Goodnight of Wagoner, and Sierra Moon of Tahlequah. He leaves his Mom and Dad, Dub and Eula Mae Goodnight of Tahlequah, and his brother and sisters, Terrye Adair and husband Eugene of Hulbert, OK, Shelly Gibson and husband Billy of Tahlequah, OK, and Billy Goodnight of Wichita, KS. Keith lives on in his four adored grandchildren, Tubias Shelton of Wagoner, Brayden Goodnight of Wagoner, Zayden Gonzalez of Tahlequah, and Paighton Goodnight of Wagoner, OK. Keith is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, friends, and the many lives he has touched in his lifetime.
