Larry Gene Mouse

Funeral services for Larry Gene Mouse will be held on Monday, December 14th, 2020 at 2:00 Pm at Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Jason Gann officiating. His family will have a visitation on Sunday, December 13th, 2020 beginning at 2PM until 6PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Agent Cemetery with his family. Pallbearers for Larry include Zackary Bodirsky, Ryan Mouse, Sammy Mouse, Kaleb Kingfisher, Cameron Kingfisher, Joel Roberts, And Eugene Kelley. His honorary pallbearers include Sanders Mouse, Keith Hood, and Paul Lawson.

Larry Gene Mouse was born on May 26th, 1967 in Muskogee, OK, the son of Tony and Christine (McLemore) Mouse. He grew up in a household with one brother and three sisters, Pamela, Joe, Grace and Angela. He attended school and graduated from Tahlequah High School and then started studies at Haskell. He worked all of his working career at Tahlequah Lumber Company as the Tool Manager. When he wasn’t working, he could be found on the golf course or yard sales, or maybe a little fishing at his favorite spot. He loved to cook for his family, and made some wicked spicy beans, chili, and even created a few “surprises” for them to enjoy. Larry was an avid Sooner and OSU fan as well, as long as they played for Oklahoma, he didn’t care. He was an avid fan of Gospel music. His favorite singer was none other than his own sweet mother. He was out going, a jokester, possessed a goofy sense of humor, and talked to everyone he met. A Christian by faith, he was a member of Johnson Prairie Baptist Church. He was baptized into the Christian faith there as well. He adored his family and was the proud father of a son, Leighton, and two daughters, Leah and Linzi. Every moment spent with them was special for Larry. Larry's life was all too brief and he passed from this life on December 4th, 2020 in Tulsa, OK, surrounded by those who knew and loved him most. He was 53 years old and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Reverend Sampson and Leann (Dry) Mouse, Reverend Sanders and Mary (Mayes) McLemore, his dad, one sister, Grace Mouse, and one niece, Kristi Bird.

Those left to cherish his memory include his Mother, Christine Mouse of Tahlequah, and his three adored children, Leighton Mouse and fiancé Melissa Hailings of Owasso, OK, Leah Mouse of Park Hill, OK, and Linzi Bodirsky and husband Zackary of Park Hill, OK. He leaves one brother and two sisters, Pamela Cloud and companion Jeff Murphy of Tahlequah, Joe Mouse of Moody, and Angela Mouse of Lost City, OK. He will live on in his six grandchildren, Tyler Additon of Owasso, Adison Mouse of Tahlequah, Mackenzie Mouse of Park Hill, OK, Emily Bodirsky of Park Hill, OK, Abbeigh Bodirsky of Park Hill, OK, and Jace Mouse of Owasso, OK, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
