

Wayne graduated from Vian High School and attended Oklahoma State University Technology in Okmulgee. Initially working as a draftsman, he soon discovered his true calling in Metal Fabrication, a field he dedicated his life to until retirement. Even after retiring, Wayne continued to take on side projects and founded his own business, The Landmarker, specializing in building flagpoles.
From a young age, Wayne accepted Jesus as his Savior and served in various churches throughout his life. At the time of his passing, he was a devoted member of Landmark Baptist Church, a place that held a special place in his heart. Wayne was passionate about sharing his faith and loved studying the Bible, a practice he maintained until his final weeks.
In addition to his career, Wayne was a retired fireman, proudly serving as a volunteer with the Woodall Fire Department. He cherished this role and the opportunity to be part of such a commendable organization.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, his brother James Ray Mahaney, his sister-in-law Billie Mahaney, and his wife Thelma James Mahaney.
He is survived by his wife Flo Bullard Mahaney; his children Debra Scott and husband Gene, Alan Mahaney and wife Kim, Heather Mahaney Stein; his stepchildren Shelbey Andrews, Robert Thompson, and Kim Davis and husband David. Wayne leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren with one more on the way, 7 step-grandchildren, 13 step-great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A visitation for Leslie will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 2:00pm at Park Hill Cemetery Pavilion with Brother Patrick Trusty officiating.
