Lloyd Winford Dallis

Tahlequah, OK- Funeral Services for Lloyd W. Dallis were held on Thursday, January 6th, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Pastor Billy Joe Loller of Carter Baptist Church officiating. Interment followed at Park Hill Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.

Lloyds pallbearers were his grandsons, Wesley Dallis, Robby Dallis, Jessie Dallis, and Larry Hayes, Wayne Shores, and Claude Wilson.

Lloyd Winford Dallis was born on January 3rd, 1934 in Tahlequah, OK the son of Thomas and Harbert (Hayes) Dallis. Lloyd grew up in the Park Hill area and attended Baggley High School. He served in the United States Army from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1956. He married Zona Mae James on September 4th, 1953 in Tahlequah, OK. This union was blessed with three sons. Lloyd owned and operated Lloyd’s Radiator Shop in Tahlequah from 1956 until his recent illness. He enjoyed coon hunting, raising cattle on the family farm, and visiting with friends who frequently dropped by the “Shop”. He loved spending time with his grand and great grandchildren. Lloyd passed from this life on January 4th, 2011 in Tahlequah. He was 77 years old.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Dean and Gene, and one son, Steven who passed from this life on January 11, 1986.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 54 years, Zona of the home., sons James Dallis and wife Donna as well as Tommy Dallis all of Tahlequah, OK. His three brothers include Floyd Dallis and wife Irene of Ft. Gibson, OK, Johnny Dallis and wife Mary and Leroy Dallis and wife Gale all of Park Hill, OK. Lloyd’s two sisters include Delores Watson and husband J.T. and Elva Mitchell and husband Jimmy all of Park Hill, OK. Lloyd is survived by five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
