

Lloyd was born May 6, 1925 in Neosho, Missouri to Lloyd & Anna (Enloe) Rapp. Lloyd lived his first five years in Moran,Kansas. He also lived in Gallup and Roswell New Mexico and his high School years were spent in Durango Colorado where he was involved in the track team and broke both wrists during a pole vault. On May 12, 1960 he was married to his second wife of more than 40 years, Eryline Marie (Gustin/Sharp) Rapp, who preceded him in death. Lloyd loved to hunt, fish and share a good story with his family and friends. He and his family were living in Durango when WWII started. He joined the Navy when his parents went to California to work in the Naval Shipyards for the war effort.
He served in the South Pacific on the cargo ship "Leonis" in such places as Pago Pago, American Samoa, the Marshall and Gilbert Islands, the Mariannas, and Saipan then on to Pearl Harbor. Lloyd was an honest and honorable man who will be missed by those who knew him well.
Lloyd is survived by his daughter Lynda Ann Irvin of Oswatomie,Kansas, his son John Rapp of Olathe, Kansas, stepson Jack Gustin of Overland Park, Kansas, His Stepdaughter Jackie Hinson of Seattle, Washington, his halfsisters Willa Lynch and Betty Harrington of California, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
