

Lore Siegel, (Oma) was born Hannelore Babette Hueber on October 14, 1932, in Esslingen, Germany. Daughter of Alois Brown & Friedel Hueber Trankel. She has one sister, Crystal Giersberg and one cousin raised as a sister, Erika Walch, both of Esslingen Germany.
Lore met Eberhard Siegele in Esslingen, Germany when she was sixteen years old. At age nineteen, she came to America by herself to live with relatives in Chicago. She fully expected to go back again. However, during this time, she and Eberhard exchanged letters daily. To this day she has the letters, and asked that they remain with her. Therefore you will see in her hands one of these cherished love letters. About a year after Lore came to America, Eberhard arrived and they were married on October 03, 1953. Their first home was in Chicago, where they had two children. They lived there until 1966 and then bought and built their first house in Mt. Prospect, IL. On February 4, 1969 they became citizens of the United States and changed their names to Lore and Ed Siegel. They moved to Hulbert, OK. in 1995. They were married 46 years.
Lore is preceded in death by her husband Ed in 1999.
She is survived by her daughter Regine Begley and husband Golia of Tahlequah, her son Michael Siegel of Hulbert, seven cherished grandchildren, and six precious great grandchildren, as well as one niece and nephew in Germany.
Lore was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Always placing the needs of others and trying to help them, before her own. She loved and cherished her family, friends, and people in general. She was extremely creative, making keepsakes for her growing family. She was an entrepreneur as well having her own handmade silk flower business called, “Lore’s Flowers In Silk”. She loved flowers, birds, butterflies, and the beautiful things in life. She was strong in spirit and willing to make a difference, kind, and compassionate with a unique sense of humor. She loved life and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, which was the most important decision of all.
