

Vian, OK- Formerly of Tulsa, OK- Memorial services for Madeline Christi Barnes Borden will be held in Louisiana at a future date to be announced.
Madeline Christi Barnes-Borden was born on April 1st, 1951 in Shreveport, LA the daughter of Richard Kenneth and Millard Madeline (Waldron) Barnes-Monzingo. She grew up in a household with one brother, Dickie and two sisters, Charmaine and Cecile. She attended and graduated from Byrd High School in Shreveport, LA, and then attended school to become a court reporter. She would also later work as an Assistant Crew Chief with David H. Arrington Oil & Gas Inc. She married and started a family with the birth of her son, Richard Barron. When she wasn’t working, she was out doors, working in her flower beds. She worked tirelessly, and enjoyed her down time spending time with the best people on earth, her family. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and loved cooking her famous chicken spaghetti, taco soup, and for dessert, her famous brownies, cookies and best ever pancakes. It was while shooting pool in Tulsa that she would meet and later marry Conrad Louis Angell on July 22nd, 2001. They would enjoy 20 years of each other’s company and share many memories. Christi and Louis loved traveling, and have been to the Bahamas, Florida Keys, Branson, Disneyworld and several cruises. Christi possessed a wonderful sense of humor, and loved to laugh and never had any difficulty telling you how the land laid. She had a generous, loving heart and went out of her way to make life a little easier for those around her in any small way she could. She was the glue that held the household firm and in place. Christi attended the Assembly Of God Church and always enjoyed the uplifting part of worship with family and friends. She used this faith to sustain in the days ahead that meant her body struggled daily. For all the fun she would have liked to spend with those she loved, the Lord called this wonderful woman home from her many labors on June 25th, 2021 in Tahlequah, OK, after reaching the age of 70 years of age. She will be missed.
She has gone home to join her grandparents, Melville Noel Faulkenberry and wife Elizabeth and Millard Filmore Waldron and Cecil Sedell Hughes. She also is preceded in death by her Dad, Richard K. Barnes, and her stepfather, John Monzingo.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Conrad Louis Angell of the home in Vian and her adored son, Richard William Barron and wife Michele Lee of Longview, TX. She is also survived by her mother, Millard Madeline Monzingo of Houston, TX. Her siblings include Richard (Dickie) K. Barnes Jr. and wife Sharon of Benton, LA, Charmaine Toni of Katy, TX and Cecile Sammons and husband Steve of Haughton, LA. She lives on in her four grandchildren, Jacob Barron, Sophia Barron, Olivia Barron, and Savannah Barron, all of Longview, TX. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
