Patricia Sue Gross, or Pat or Tuxie to her family, was born on March 28th, 1958 in Wagoner, OK the daughter of Jess and Georgia C. (Tannehill) Taylor. She was raised up with three brothers and one sister, Jessie, Jimmy, Carmell, and Sheila. She attended school in Hulbert, OK. She earned her living as a certified Nurses Aide with the Claremore VA, and the Davis Nursing Home and finally the Muskogee VA. She was one of a kind, spunky and head strong with a stubborn streak that didn’t quit. She was a talented homemaker, making some of the best pies, homemade ice cream, and her turkey dinners are the stuff that legends are made of, often serving all the neighbors that dropped by as well as her own family. She adored her parents, her son her grandkids and all of her family, they were her world. She worked on the house, the yard, the livestock buildings, and anything else that needed mending around the place. She was versatile with a hammer and nails or a platter of homemade Mexican food. She liked meeting up with friends at “The Rose” to shoot a little pool and share the latest news. Old westerns like Gunsmoke and old movies were her favorite binging obsession. She was patriotic, loved President Trump, her country, and all night card games with her family. Her grandchildren knew they had a friend in Grandma. She went out of her way to keep them happy and well cared for. Her health began to fail her and she passed from this life on November 11th, 2022 at her home surrounded by those who knew and loved her most. She was 64 years old and will be greatly missed.
She has gone home to join her son, Thomas Mitchell Blair who passed in 2015, her maternal grandparents, William Lindsay and Tressie Lee (Duty) Tannehill and Leonard and Mary (Langston) Taylor. She joins her dad, Jess Taylor and her brother, Jimmy Lee Taylor.
Those left to celebrate her life include her mother and sweetest friend, Georgia Taylor of the home in Hulbert, and her brothers and sister, Jessie Taylor of Tahlequah, Carmell Taylor of Lufkin, TX, and Sheila Lopez and husband Elias of Wagoner, OK. She lives on in her adored three grandchildren, Garrett Blair, McKenna Blair and Airabella Blair all of Wagoner, OK, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
