Rene Diane Dixon-Jones was born on September 28th, 1983 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Lee Austin and Carmen Adele (Garner) Dixon. She grew up in the Leach area, and attended school at Leach, Oaks and Kansas. She absolutely loved basketball, and working on her car, collecting four leaf clovers, and loved any stray animals of all types, and loved all of them she adopted and cared for. She enjoyed cooking and made the best Chinese food, Stir Fry, and her sweet little cinnamon rolls were absolutely the best. She had a talent for art and could draw anything she put her mind to. Her laughter was contagious, and she could find humor in the everyday world and make the best of it. She never met a stranger, would give you the shirt off her back, and cared for everyone that crossed her path. You often found her in the company of her beloved Chihuahua, Banjo Charlie, singing her way around the house doing chores or making her next plan of attack for the days activities. She cared for her brother, she helped her mom, she raised her children and found the strength to go to work and care for the clients entrusted to her care. Rene was a Christian by faith. No life is without its trials, and Rene’s was no different. The Lord called this kind, loving, sweet natured, daughter, mother, grandmother and friend home from her many labors on May 14th, 2024, after an accident. She was only 40 years old and leaves so many family and friends to cherish her memory.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Virgil Garner and Louise (Blair) Garner and grandpa Oscar Lee Dixon.
Those left to keep her memory include her mother, Carmen Garner and her son, Kalvin Jones, her father, Lee Austin Dixon and his wife Judy Dixon of Oaks, OK, her husband, John Paul Jones, also of Bentonville, AR. She also leaves two stepdaughters and one stepson, and brother, Derek Lee Dixon of Oaks, OK, and one sister, Lekiesha Marie Dixon of Arkansas. She leaves her grandmother, Elouise “Skeeter” Dixon of Oaks, OK, and her three grandchildren as well as many friends and a host of loved ones too numerous to mention.
