Robert Stephen Blair, 70, of San Antonio, Zambales, Philippines, also residing at his home in Tahlequah. He bravely fought and lost his battle with cancer on June 12, 2021 surrounded by family in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Born on April 14, 1951 in Winfield, Kansas, to Robert (Bob) and Nancy Ann (Foster) Blair, Steve (Dusty) was the oldest of the four Blair boys. He graduated from Locust Grove High in 1969. After serving six years in the Navy, he spent more than 35 years as an engineer for Bechtel during which he lived all over the United States and the world.
Steve had a zest for life, loving to golf, fish, hunt, walk, read, and socialize. He was devoted to his numerous friends, staying in touch over many years, visiting them when he was able, and sharing good food.
Steve leaves behind to mourn his passing wife Nancy Blair, son Cyron, and daughter Rizshel Blair. Also daughters Kara Blair and Megan Smith and Megan's husband Jason, and their daughter Nel, of whom Steve was especially fond. Brothers Stan, wife Judy, Frank, partner Randall, John, wife Cheryl, along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
On one of his last visits to the family farm shortly before his mother’s passing, he thanked her for making such a wonderful home and that he felt at peace there.
He will be missed.
