Rose Marie Torrez-Redday was born on February 13th, 1952 in Endi, OK, the daughter of Roberto Torrez and Maud (Marlow) Vincent. She grew up with three brothers, Robert, Norman and Jess. She graduated from school and then began her college studies to work in Social Work. She dedicated her working career in helping those who needed assistance the most. She was kind, considerate, always smiling and going the extra mile to make those around her feel loved and needed. When ever the holidays rolled around, she made sure the clients entrusted to her care received something extra to make the day special and memorable. Once away from work, her focus was on her family, she adored her children and grandchildren. She was the proud mother of three sons and one daughter, Jesse, Thomas, Michael and Shellie. She possessed a wickedly funny sense of humor and was quite ornery. You could bet she was plotting something funny most of the time. She enjoyed collecting pens, and liked elephants. She liked curling up to a good Japanese soap opera every chance she got. She liked gathering with her friends, and sharing a meal and a night of fun and girl talk. Her grandchildren were always welcome at grandma’s house, she had snacks and lots of love to share. She was a faithful member of the Jehovah’s Witness and devoted many hours to her Kingdom Hall family. With so many tasks left to do, she passed from this life on April 1st, 2022 in Tahlequah, OK. She was 70 years old and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, mother, father, two sons, Thomas Paul Avery and Michael Donavan Avery and two brothers, Norman Torrez and Jess Torrez.
Those left to celebrate her life include her son, Jess Fixin of Hulbert, OK, and daughter, Shellie Linvick and husband Dylan of Muskogee, OK. She also leaves one brother, Robert Torrez and wife Lisa. Avery, Jesse Dylan Fixin, and Abigail Fixin. She also leaves one great granddaughter, Liylah Kile.
