Rosie Ruby (Walker) Eubanks graced this earth on September 30, 1936 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Onnie William and Easter Lilly (Reynolds) Walker. Growing up in the rolling hills of Cherokee County, she was raised in a household with eight siblings. Rosie had a heart to serve the Lord from a young age and was blessed to share her love of Christ with her family. She met the one to spend her life with, Don Gene Eubanks, and they were joined in marriage in September of 1959. This union was blessed with seven children, Gary, Mike, Don, Linda, Teresa, Phoebe and Sheila. Aside from the Lord, family was the most important and greatest joy in her life. She proudly wore the title of Mom and Grandma; the care and compassion she had for her family was like none other. Rosie served as a pastor of Jesus Christ Church of Eternal Jubilee for some time and was a member of Gum Springs Community Church. She loved to enjoy God’s beauty in nature, whether it be out fishing, camping or tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. Rosie was a tremendous cook and baker. There was always a hot meal cooking and she made the best chocolate gravy around. She was a fan of anything chocolate. When she had the opportunity, she liked to travel and go out shopping. She never missed an opportunity for family gatherings and continually looked for ways to help those around her. As her health began to fail, this good and faithful servant was called onto Glory on Saturday, June 15, 2024 where she is now “walkin’ and talkin’” with those that went before her. She was 87 years old and will be greatly missed by those who lovingly called her mom, grandma, sister and friend.
Those she meets at the gates of heaven include her parents, husband, Don Eubanks, one son, Mike Eubanks, one daughter, Linda Hayes, son-in-law, Jimmy Hayes, three brothers, William Walker, Jack Walker and David Walker, three sisters, Dorothy Marie Denwalt, Gloria McDaniel and Linda Westmoreland and one great grandson, Elijah Hayes.
She will be loving remembered by her two sons, Gary Ryals and wife Rozella of Colcord, OK and Don Eubanks and wife Velva of Tahlequah, OK, three daughters, Teresa Gower and husband Claudie of Tahlequah, OK, Phoebe Shankle and husband George of Rose, OK and Sheila Stacy and husband Vernon of Tahlequah, OK and two brothers, Troy Walker and wife Faye of Locust Grove, OK and Leonard Walker and wife Emma of Tahlequah, OK. Her legacy lives on through her adored grandchildren, Amy, Charity, Doyle, Brent, Amanda, Alina, Brandon, Brad, Teresa Ann, Terri, Bobby, Ashley, Jessica, Lindsay, Shelby, Tonja and Gary, as well as numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many friends, church family and loved ones.
