

Ruby Duhina (Chavez) Morgan began her journey in life on December 27, 1941 near Caloocan in the Philippines. She was the daughter of Mamerta Duhina and Romeo Chavez. Ruby grew up in a household with her two sisters and two brothers to appreciate culture, instilling in her values of family, community and traditions that would guide her throughout her life. Ruby graduated from high school in her home country. On February 2, 1965, she married the love of her life, Louie Morgan Jr. in Angel City, Philippines. Their union was blessed with four daughters, Lee Ann, Donna, Diane and Diana and together built a life filled with wonderful memories and adventure. She loved to go out for a game of bingo or cooking up traditional Filipino dishes for the family.
Though Ruby was a quiet and unassuming person, her sharp mind and quick wit were evident to those who knew her and made for the best conversations. Ruby had a heart of gold, especially when it came to children and she adored taking care of her grandchildren; spending quality time, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Her love and devotion to her family were unwavering, earning her the title of "World's Best Mother and Partner." Ruby Duhina Morgan passed away on January 23, 2025 in Brandon, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and warmth that will be deeply cherished by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Romeo Chavez and Mamerta Duhina, two brothers and one sister.
Left to cherish her memory includes her husband, Louie Morgan Jr. of the home, four daughters, Lee Ann Morgan of O’Fallon, IL, Donna Morgan Jasinski and spouse Martin of Houston, TX, Diane Morgan and spouse Jim Walters of Port Orange, FL and Diana Morgan and spouse Stephanie Germino of Brandon, FL. She is also survived by one sister of the Philippines. Her legacy lives on through her five cherished grandchildren, Kamron Morgan, CJ Walters, Morgan Jasinski, Brooke Jasinski and Josiah Gallego as well as many other friends and loved ones.
A time of visitation will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Reed-Culver Funeral Home. Graveside services for Ruby will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 2:00pm at Double Springs Cemetery in Tahlequah, OK.
