Russell Wayne Rule

Funeral services for Russell Wayne Rule will be held on Friday, May 26th, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Brother Sam Keener officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 26th, 2017 beginning at 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will be held at Swimmer Cemetery. Pallbearers for Russell include John Robertson, Gary Lee Sequichie Jr., Edward Ridge, Craig Whitekiller, Cody Hummingbird, and Mark Haynes.

Russell Wayne Rule was born on October 14th, 1983 in Dallas, TX, the son of Chester Wayne and Lillie Mae (Whitekiller) Rule. He attended and graduated high school then began college. He loved people and was so easy to talk to. He had a winning smile and an easy going laugh. Russell worked in the Dallas area as a Certified Nurses Aide and was loved by all his clients. He also worked for Subway in the Dallas area and here in Tahlequah. He was a huge football fan and the Dallas Cowboys were the best team. He enjoyed time relaxing at home, watching a little TV with his favorite feline companion. Russell adored his family and enjoyed any chance to share a meal, a holiday or just a Sunday afternoon. He had moved to the Tahlequah area and started working as a restaurant worker. Russell was blessed with a witty and amazing sense of humor, he made anyone feel like a friend with his laugh. His life was all too brief and he passed from this life on May 22nd, 2017 at his home in Tahlequah, OK. He was 33 years old. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Russell is preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter Whitekiller Jr, Irene Lena Thompson, and Norma Pauline Rule, his mother, Lillie Mae Rule, and one uncle, Charles Edward Whitekiller.

Those left to cherish his memory include Chester Wayne and Jody Rule of Midlothian, TX. He leaves one sister, Beth Robertson and husband John of Mansfield, TX, one niece, Lily Ann Robertson and one grandfather, Thoma F. Rule , three aunts, Mary Whitekiller-Ross, Jennie Whitekiller and Diane Rule Mendez, and one uncle, Bruce Rule, as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of friends and loved ones.
