Savannah Blair Smith was born on November 25th, 2008 in Mission Valejo, CA, the daughter of Cynthia (Salini) Mayfield and Brandon Smith. She had one brother and two sisters, Dylan, Sara and Scarlett. The family relocated to the Tahlequah area and it was here that Savannah attended Grade School and Jr. High in Briggs, OK followed by 9th Grade in Tahlequah. Savannah possessed a great deal of artistic talent and could draw anything she put her mind to. She also enjoyed curling up with a good book, especially fantasy books. She had a soft spot in her heart for her feline friends, especially “Salem”, her constant friend and companion. There was nothing she loved more than time spent with her family or friends at the river, floating and a picnic with Grandma and her siblings. Life was not always kind and sometimes, the road grew rough. Yet true to form, Savannah had a great impact on many, many people, and never stopped trying for a better day and a brighter future. Her mother passed from this life and Savannah moved in with her Grandmother. Savannah had a beautiful smile, a sweet disposition, a loving heart and often times, a broken spirit. The constant in her life was her family and friends that held her up, and supported her when and where they could. She was also lifted in prayer by her many friends that adored her at St. Brigid Catholic Church. Savannah passed from this life on July 4th, 2025 in Tulsa, OK. She was only 16 years old and had already lived a lifetime. She will be lovingly remembered for all she tried to be and all she hoped for the future. Eternal Rest grant unto her, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. Rest in Peace Savannah.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Cynthia Mayfield and many other family and friends.
Those left to remember this beautiful smile and heart include her brother and sisters, Dylan Smith of Tahlequah, Scarlett Smith of Tahlequah and Sara Mayfield of San Juan Capistrano, CA. and her father, Brandon Smith of Oklahoma, her beloved grandmothers, Gina Baldasare of Tahlequah and Mahine Salini of San Juan Capistrano, CA. She leaves her grandfather, Troy of Louisville, KY, and various aunts and uncles and cousins. There are many case workers who have stood by her side, Rita, Genevieve, Jeffery, and Taylor. There are also so many people and friends she met along the way to her final journey home. We will miss you, sweet Savannah.
