He has three brothers and eight sisters, Henry, Bobby, Carl, Sharon, Verna, Louise, Betty, Julia, Cathy, Doris, and Carla. He attended school, but left before graduating to help support his family. On September 22nd, 1968, he married the love of his life and his best friend, JoAnn McCarter at Long Prairie Baptist Church in Kansas, OK. Together they spent 48 years raising a family of five sons and four daughters. Duda worked in the construction industry. He was talented and enjoyed working with other people on many projects. When he wasn’t working, he was a devoted member of the Long Prairie Baptist Church, teaching Sunday School, helping with the yearly Christmas Program, and helping whenever and wherever he was needed. He never met a stranger and loved to witness to everyone. He enjoyed a trip to the fishing hole, going to car shows, supporting his favorite team, OU, and telling stories with family and friends over coffee. His family was always the apple of his eye, and his 27 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren were the best!! He would do anything for them just to see them smile. He was funny, and had a sense of humor that didn’t quit. He was happy to have all of them get together to share a meal and spend time together. This loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend was called to his Eternal Home on November 4th, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 68 years old. He will be missed.
