Sunny Joyce Jones was born in Fayetteville, AR, on March 10, 1975, the daughter of Freddie Eugene Jones and Cynthia Joyce (Florer) Jones. After graduating high school, she began her journey in life, becoming a mother of three children, Tyler, Skyley and Sydney. Her family was her world and she shared a special bond with her nieces and nephews. Sunny embodied sunshine and could light up a room. She made a point to live each day to the fullest, yet holding an appreciation for the small things. She loved classic rock music, fast cars, and had a large collection of marbles. No matter what it was, she aimed to surround herself with bright and joy-filled colors, making tie-dye apparel for the family, or tending to her beautiful flower gardens. Sunny was an overcomer and made a decision every day to live in sobriety. She was a huge supporter of Peaceful Warrior Way and Sober Squad of Oklahoma, which were very near to her heart. Sunny used the adversities in her life to help others and had a way of making any person feel comfortable, even if that meant making a complete fool of herself to break the ice. She was selfless, kind, and would give absolutely anything she had away. Sunny made it easy to love her and was blessed to have so many friends. After nearly a decade long battle with cancer, Sunny passed from this life at the age of 48 on October 26th, 2023, with her family by her side. The love she had and joy she brought to others will be truly missed.
She went on to join her grandmothers, Wanda Duran and Leona Jones and grandfather, Clifford Florer.
Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, one son, Tyler Lee Teague and wife Kylea of Tahlequah, OK, two daughters, Skyley Joyce Teague of Moore, OK and Sydney Eleanor Page and husband Justin of Tahlequah, OK, one brother, Zachary Eugene Jones and wife Kera of Lincoln, AR and two sisters, Amy Melissa Alexander of Tulsa, OK and Dustin Blue Blackston of Huntsville, AR. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Thunder Nathan Teague, Arthur Trent Streater, and Justin Gene Page, Jr., special nieces and nephews, Tony, Thomas, Kailey, Frederick "Woogie" as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.
