Tom lived a great life, full of adventures, humor and love. He loved to travel, and incorporated his wanderlust into most of his career with the airline industry, first in the navy and then with Eastern airlines. In his later years, his mode of transportation focus became trains. And anyone that knows Tom, knows when he focuses on something, it becomes an immersive depth into history, mechanisms of action, and future possibilities. So any question that anyone might have about airplanes or trains, Tom most definitely was a great wealth of knowledge.
Tom is survived by his two children, Michelle (married Tim) and Thomas (married Michele). Michelle and Tim extended his family with two granddaughters, Savanna (married Michael) and Jasmine (married Brian). The granddaughters extended his family further with five adorable great grandchildren: Annie, Lilly, Denver, Bennett, and David..
Tom lived in many places. He started his life in Atlanta, GA where he was born and spent his childhood. He then went to Boston and joined the navy. He moved back to GA and married Brenda. They moved to Iowa and Louisiana while they were married. He later moved to Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia (again), Texas, and ended up in Oklahoma (again) during the last few years. Wherever he lived, he explored, immersed in the history and enjoyed the people he encountered along the way.
Tom enjoyed many hobbies, but one he kept for a lifetime and that was his love of automobiles, his favorite mode of transportation! He was not even brand loyal, he loved all cars and trucks. His family cannot count the number of vehicles he owned during his 88 years of living, but do not doubt that every single one was improved with Tom’s flair for rigid details.
Tom will be missed greatly by his family and friends. His stories will remain legendary and he will never be forgotten.
