

Treva Maxine Tyer age 85, of Tahlequah passed from this life on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in Tahlequah, OK surrounded by her loved ones. She entered this life on August 21, 1929 in Tahlequah the daughter of Lee and Dora Bell (Houston) Copeland.
Maxine married Con Grover Tyer on June 12, 1946 in Tahlequah they spent many wonderful years together until the passing of Con on July 9, 1994 their marriage was blessed with five children. In her spare time she liked to listen to country and gospel music. Maxine liked to play games like dominos, checkers and pitch. She also spent time in the kitchen cooking meals for her family and anybody who was hungry. But most of all she loved eating cornbread and Bulgarian Buttermilk. The most pleasure in her life came from spending time with her family and grandkids whom she loved so much. Maxine was an amazing woman that will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Con Tyer, one daughter Linda K. “Katie” Brickey and 13 siblings.
Those left to remember her life’s journey include three sons; Billy Con Tyer and wife Juanita of Leach, OK, Virgil Porter Tyer and wife Tanya of Tahlequah, OK, Steve Allen Tyer and wife Frankie of Oaks, OK, one daughter Marilyn Faye Morrison and husband James Jr. of Oaks, three sisters; Verlie “Shug” Secratt, Louise “Tilly” Welch, and Fannie May “Hanner” Thompson, 18 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; as well as a host of other special friends and loved ones.
