

Virginia Louise Christie went home to her Lord and Savior on October 10th, 2015 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 64 years. She was born on October 7th, 1951 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Velma Christie and Rufus Grass. Virginia was raised in a home with a brother, Jack and four sisters, Marie, Betty, Sara, and Sharon. She attended Bassett High School in La Puente, California. Following her stay in California, she returned to Oklahoma, to her family and friends. She worked in the textile factories as a line worker, and worked hard her entire life. Virginia was a Pow-Wow Dancer, and traveled extensively across the United States, recently returning from a Pow-Wow in Alabama. Virginia would travel across the country by herself and attend Pow-Wow meetings. She was friendly and outgoing, and had no problem expressing what was on her mind at the moment. She was a Christian by faith, and never missed a chance to attend church at Faith Chapel near Moody. Her health failed her and she passed from this life, and will rest with her mother and ancestors in Barber Cemetery.
Virginia is preceded in death by her Mother, Velma, her beloved son, Terry in 2014, and three of her sisters, Betty, Sara, and Sharon Sevenstar.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Peggy Sue Griever of Dry Creek, OK, one brother, Jack Sevenstar of Tulsa, OK, one sister, Marie Deal of Barber, OK, her aunt Bobbie Jean Carter of Barber, OK, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
