Bill Taylor was born on January 22, 1952 in Tulsa, OK, the son of Mary Lou (Gray) and biological father, William Charles (Rogers). He was later adopted and raised by Robert Evans Taylor. He graduated High School and completed some college in Southern California, all the while working in the ship yards. In his early life, Bill traveled around the United States, including Hawaii and Oklahoma, doing various jobs in construction, land surveying, and in the computer industry. He was also blessed with a son, Justin, during this time in his life. Later in life he settled in Oklahoma where he met and married the love of his life, Vivian Ann Bailey on September 17, 1994. During his time in Oklahoma, Bill joined the oil and gas industry, where he retired as a chemical technician. When his work shift was done, he would come home and work some more, especially cooking and baking. Bill loved to bake pastries and all sorts of things and in big batches, too, so he could share with his family, and he was good at it too. Even while hard at work, he would always keep up with current events and how it affected his world. He liked watching Fox News and sports, any sport, from golf to basketball, but nothing compared to OU Sooners football! He was fascinated with the stormy Oklahoma weather and would like to sit outside and watch the lightning and stormy skies. Bill was a history aficionado, and studied events from all time periods in history. If you ever had a question about something historical or current event-related, he was the one to ask. Bill was quiet and reserved, but he enjoyed his talks with his wife and the times he spent with his family and grandkids. He taught the grandkids the joy of playing with bottle rockets and Papa liked pulling a prank or telling them a good joke. He was a dedicated family man, worked and appreciated the simple things in life, like the view from his own front yard. Bill firmly believed in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. The Lord called this kind and loving man home from his many labors on February 21, 2024 at the home he loved, surrounded by his loving wife. Bill was 72 years old and leaves a vacancy that no one will ever be able to fill.
Bill has gone on to join his grandparents, his mother and father, one brother, Michael Taylor, one sister, Nancy Taylor and one grandson, Franklin Loyd.
Those left to celebrate the life of this wonderful husband, father, and grandfather include his wife, Vivian Ann Bailey Taylor of the home in Sallisaw, OK, and his children, Derramy Bailey of Sallisaw, Timmothy Bailey of Yukon, OK, Justin Hannaford and wife Christina of Goldsboro, NC, and TaNesha Loyd and husband Alan of Bunch, OK.
