She was born on October 19, 1941, in La Coruña, Spain, to Donato Castano and Rose Gonzalez Castano, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rosa Brent; her brother, Gerardo Castano; and her nephew, Donato Castano.
Angela is survived by her devoted husband, Nelson Madera; her loving children, Jilma Rudd and her husband, Lamar Rudd; Rosemarie Bolinder and her husband, Michael Bolinder; and Jason Madera and his wife, Rae’Ana Madera. She is also survived by her brother Donato Castano and his wife Mercedes Castano, as well as her cherished 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
Angela was a warm, social, and kind-hearted woman whose love for people was evident to all who knew her. She had a contagious laugh that could light up any room and a spirit that drew others close. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her beloved husband, and she poured her heart into creating meaningful memories that will be treasured for generations.
She was a dedicated homemaker who later worked for the Leon County School Board, where she faithfully served until her retirement. Angela was an active member of St. Louis Catholic Church, where she served her church community for many years with devotion and faith.
Angela had a passion for life and the people around her. She loved to travel, host gatherings filled with laughter and love, and spend quiet time knitting. She created beautiful blankets and sweaters, each one made with care and a reflection of the love she gave so freely.
While her family grieves her loss, they find comfort in knowing that she is no longer burdened by the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. They rejoice in the assurance that she has been made whole and is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
Angela’s legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
