

She was born December 3, 1922 to Mary Brundydge and William Atkinson in Gadsden County, Florida and would have been 88 years old on her next birthday.
Mrs. Bohlen is survived by Henry Knight Bohlen, her husband of 64 years and daughters, Mary Lucile Bohlen and Deborah Ann Bohlen.
Mrs. Bohlen was a dedicated member of Lakeview Baptist Church for more than fifty five years where she taught preschoolers for 25 years, was GA director and member of the choir. She loved her Lord and her church family dearly. She enjoyed working in her beautiful yard. Her children say their mother was the best cook. Her kitchen was where she thrived.
Annie Doris Bohlen has five grandchildren, Melissa Hurst Jones (Steve) of Maylene AL, Amy Bradford Wilcox (Jeff), of High Point, NC, Gary Brent Bradford (Stacy), of Iron Station, NC, Lane Bohlen Bradford (Amanda), of Denver, NC and Christine Miller McDermott (Jeremy) of Chelsea, AL.
Her children are an heritage unto the Lord.
Mrs, Bohlen leaves ten great grand children, Autumn Taylor, Blake Christian, Charlotte Grace, Beau Maddux and Brelyn Helen Bradford, Ethan Knight, Madison Chase and Emma Claire Jones and Nathaniel James and William Henry Wilcox.
She has two surviving brothers, Mark Atkinson of Amston, CT, and Emory Atkinson of Douglasville, GA.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Raymond Atkinson and Henry Atkinson.
A thanksgiving celebration of Annie Doris Bohlen’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2010 at Lakeview Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be made to Lakeview Baptist Church, 222 W 7th Ave, Tallahassee, FL 32303 or Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd. Tallahassee, Fl 32308.
