Arthur Grady "Grade A" Beard, age 91, of Tallahassee passed away at Big Bend Hospice House on Friday, December 12, 2014. He was born in Walton County, Florida on September 29, 1923 to Chester Lynn Beard and Arminda Brown Beard. Grady was a World War II Navy Veteran and a retired Postal worker.He loved working in his garden and fishing until he was no longer able. "Grade A" was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Amber Lee. He is survived by three sons, Marvin (Sandy) Beard, Gary (Ann) Beard, Dale Beard and fiancee Debra Cunningham; one daughter, Gail (Paul) Davis; and four stepchildren, Danna (Carey) Scott, Fred Creel, Alice (James) Cummings, and Lynelle (Nena) Prior; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren; and one special "adopted" son, Tony Hood. Visitation will be Tuesday morning, December 16, at 10:00 AM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home on Riggins Road with the funeral service starting at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.
