Barry F. BoVee passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Capital Regional Medical Center after a three-year battle with cancer.

Barry was born in Syracuse, New York on August 30, 1941. He graduated from Coral Gables High School in 1960 and shortly afterwards enrolled into the United States Marine Corp. While being an active Marine, he married and had two amazing children. In 1969, he ended his service with the Marines and started his next adventure opening his successful business. Barry took great pride in all he did and built multiple relationships with his customers. When Barry had time off from the office he enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, casino's, cruising, seeing family and friends. After 40 years, he decided that it was time for him and his wife to retire, so they sold their business, home and moved to Monticello, Florida. Once in Monticello, they purchased what would be their final home together, built a barn, adopted a few dogs and horses and maintained five acres and created new friendships.

Barry is preceded in death by his parents, Urias and Frances BoVee. He is survived by his wife, Wendy BoVee; brother, Ronald BoVee and his wife, Ute BoVee, and their children, Annette Akyurek and her husband, Cem Akyurek, and their children, Celin and Yasmin Akyurek; son, Brian BoVee and his wife, Cathy BoVee; daughter, Kim Sovik and her husband, Jon Sovik; granddaughter, Sherye Ifergan and her husband, Thom Ifergan; grandson, Bradley Sovik; great granddaughter, Amelie Ifergan; mother in law, Gloria Craig; brother in law, Chuck Craig and his wife, Amanda Craig, and their children, Bailey, Dalton and Daniel Craig; brother in law, John Craig and his wife, Donna Craig, and their children William, Yulia, Angela, and Nick Craig; sister in law, Cindy Edward and her husband, Richard Edward, and their son, RJ Edward and his wife, Blanca Edward.

A viewing and visitation will be held on, Friday, February 14, 2020 from 4-6 p.m. at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32308

In August of 1960 Barry took me home to live as one of the
BoVee family. My High School Friend and now a brother helped
me recuperate from a terrible reaction to medicine. Barry"s Good looks and sense of humor were his passport to many beautiful experiences. I was lucky to be included by Opa and Oma into the uniqueness of the BoVees. Thanks to Barry and all the BoVees
I owe my most treasured memories. My brother leaves a big gap
